My girlfriend's 08 Caliber didn't come with automatic door locks or power windows. How difficult and costly would it be to convert them to Automatic?
I drove her caliber today for the first time and i have to say it was really nice. better than i thot it would be. It has a lot of pep to it.

 

I would say the cost of doing such an upgrade would be so high
as to negate the benits be they real or imagined.By the time you
pick up the various pieces even at used prices the labor would be
very high in regard to hours.Chryler in many cases doesn't install
the necessary wiring if the option was spec'd on assy line gate list,
example being no Musicgate/Sirius no wiring installed-saves money.

 

I wish ours had the mpg computer in the dash, but it is probably6 going to be costly to add it. Oh well.

 

Yeah, that's what i was wondering, If they just used the same harness, and I could buy the parts and just plug and play. Oh well. Ill try to lookinto it or ill ask parts/service. Iam thinking of What to get her for her birthday. We want tinted windows. What tint does everyone go with? Iwas thinking 5% and it would cost $250-350? That ot swaping out the single cd player for a 6 disk. What do you goyus think?

Looks good! I am thinking that we are gonna go with 5% on the back windows, but we are not sure if we should do the front ones or just do it lighter. Do you mind telling me how much that costed you?

 

lxman1, that tint looks good. I am also looking into getting mine done. What did they charge you for that. I can get The car done with 17% for $135.

jstmahoney, you could get you girl a new head unit the factory system has a little bump in it but not very loud IMO. and install some 6x9. You will be amazed!

 

$130 plus he put a strip across the windshield of my Ram at the same time. Caliber has the windshield strip as well.

 

my tint guy quoted me $155 for my window tinting 5% i was thinking more. Im gonna go and sneak the car away one day and surprise her
