Brakes
Is anyone having a problem with noise in the rear drum brakes? We had an 07 with the noise but totaled it be for we could get to the dealer. Now we have a 08 with the same noise and all I get from the dealer is the run around and no help. This is the SXT. Thanks.
The noise is a squeal. The dealer had the rear brakes apart and in a very short time the squeal was back, took it back to them and they put some disk brake anti squeal stuff on all moving parts and that lasted three days.
A Car-X guy told me it goes all the way back to the Neon. Something Dodge has been tying to fix for a long time???
Dust, the dealer had it apart 2 times in the same day I dont think dust would build up in that sort of time.

Yours had rear disc? My SXT has rear drums. I have seen the SXT sport version with rear disc.
That would be quite annoying. I had to use Quiet-Stop pads on the rear of an F150 to eliminate the squeak on it.

We have about 10,000 miles on the Caliber now and still have the noise in the rear brakes. Seams to be when you slow down for a stop and just before you stop. I think we will live with it. Thanks for the help.
