reverse light condensation, seemingly common?
It seems I have the oddball issues with my 07 SXT. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that my left tail light was showing signs of condensation. So, after reading some other posts I thought I'd try to dry it out and seal it up. Before, I had condensation in the top left corner and in the reverse light areas, but not so much in the turn signal area. I too out the fixture, the bulbs, and used a hairdryer to dry all traces of moisture from the entire fixture. It was a sunny day with no humidity and I worked fast using some clear silicone sealant around the present seal and bulb areas. I blew a little more hot air inside to make sure and then replaced the bulbs. So, after another day of sunshine and low humidity I notice the reverse light area to be the only spot where moisture had reappeared. I know this light is sealed up and no cracks exist in the plastic. So, that's why it baffles me as to the reappearance of this water.
Yet still, I have this thing about taking a closer look at other Calibers whenever I see them parked. I'm not a Caliber stalker per se, just that I like to compare. But, I have noticed that a lot of Calibers have moisture in the left rear reverse light, and not the right side. Is this common, or am I just noticing it more now that I have the same problem?
