Many of the Ram guys make them from PVC pipe and paint them. You would need to take your intake off and go to Home depot and see if you can get some pipe and elbows than will make it form to route like your stock intake. You can use rubber clamp-on couplers to put it together. I haven't paid any attention to the stock intake on our 09 to see how it is actually shaped. You may also search eBay for a cheap version in chrome.

I am also looking fo ra cheap way to get the CAI done. All the web sites I look at and name brands that i know of have them for $300!!!!!!! However, i have found some on ebay for $50!! What's the deal? Usually i wouldn't consider something that is so cheap compared to the others but this is a passive system, so what could go wrong (famous last words)? links to ebay listings...

There are cheap ones in there. Many have weak brackets welds and such, but will work.
The 1st one you listed will gain you nothing because it reuses the Hemi hat resonator which is where the resistance is in the first place.
The second one should be called a HIA because the filters are behind the fan and will have heat from the radiator blown on them hurting performance.

honestly, from the looks of it, I don't think it will flow much better than stock. Nothing that you will notice in the ole butt dyno. I can't say whether it is carbon fiber or not.
Personally, I would just put a K&N replacement filter in it and leave the stock set-up. It draws cold air from the front of the car.

yeah i was thinking the same but i had to ask somebody else before the buy. i seen the other day wile i was walking around auto zone that they had parts for a cold air intake. Think it would be cheaper to buy the tubing and the claps peace by peace or just buy a whole kit?

I don't know, I've never priced those parts at Autozone. I have seen what you are talking about.

I guess you just need to take off the stock stuff and measure to see what parts it would take to make your own. If it is much more than the ebay kit, then just get the ebay kit.
