Default 2007 Caliber srt

Hello all I was wondering if someone could help me with the causes of some codes that I am getting on my mom's caliber and if one things is causing other codes. First of all she has a wrecked fender on driver's side and the tire scrubs when she makes a sharp right turn. (putting new fender on this weekend ) I'm thinking this is causing one of the codes which is U1412 . The other codes are P0455,P000A, P000B and P0014. I have looked up the code desciption but I cant find how to fix or if one is causing other. I would appreciate any help I can get . Thanks a bunch in advance.

There is a TSB for this calling for a PCM software update at the dealership, and change the Oil and Filter with 5w-20 motor oil.

and possibly replacing Oil control valve.

TSB 18-018-07a

the P0455 is for a large Evap leak. Try tighten the gascap and erase the code.

how ever u read the code, is the machine to erase it. You can buy a cheap code reader from part store for like $40 ish. or you can go to Autozone and have them do it.

P000A, P000B and P0014 is for the TSB.

P0455 most of the time is from a gas cap loose, or filling up gas with car running.
or a Evap hose fell off somewhere under the car or in the hood.

U1412 code is Vehicle speed signal, this is more likely to be a Software or electronic problem. Just erase it and see what happen.

Who knows, maybe the TSB will fix All of them in the process.
either way, sounds like ur car will end up going to the dealership.

Called local dodge dealership today and I asked if is a recall for this model for some of the codes I am getting and they said no. I tried to give him the codes and he said that they would'nt do him any good but I could bring it in and let them put it on machine. Maybe i'm wrong but wouldnt he get the same codes ? I think they just want money. Can someone help please ? thanks in advance.

You need to give them the TSB # in the post above. It is not a recall. It is a Technical Service Bulletin. Under warranty, it would be done free. They shouldn't charge more than an hours labor to reflash the computer.

As mentioned, it is not a recall. If you are over 36k miles or 3 yrs, and don't have extended waranty, you'll have to pay off ur pocket.

Yeah, they want money, dealership is not a charity. But they shouldn't charge you more than $100 for a Flash. But as for the Oil control valve, you MIGHT need it. so you might need to pay more.

As for the P0455 and U1412 code, I need the car in front of me to find out what's wrong with it. Gas cap is just a guess.
The codes is vague, is like If you head light doesn't work, and then u get a code that saids "head light in-op". duh...

you need to hit the dealership for a software update on the PCM.
