Satellite Radio
I hope this is the right place to ask. I bought a 2011 Caliber two months ago. Love it so far. When I went online to my sirius account, I was told my trial was going to end at the end of April. That would only be three months. Some kind of ( quarterly plan). I thought the trial was a year long? Has anyone else had this problem? I was going to call Sirius, but i've heard of long 30 to 45 minutes delays on the phone so I want to use that as a last resort. I hate telephones anyway.

It used to be 1yr, and then last yr my friend told me he only got 6 month when he bought a Volkswagen. last month I called Sirus to open an Account for a Customer on a New Radio, Sirus only gave him 3 month trial. I waited like 10 minute on the phone last time. But i called at like 8:30 am.
Perhaps this is normal.

Let it lapse. They will give you killer deals if you tell them no a few times. They got my wife's down to like $25 for 6 months. The will call quite often. She had to threaten to sue them for harassment before they quit bothering her. It was 1 yr in 08 when I bought my 08 Ram and her 09 Caliber. The shorter trial may have something to do with the bankruptcy and restructuring of Chrysler, not sure.
Check your window sticker. I was just looking at some 2011 Dodges online and when viewing the window stickers, they all say 1yr of Sirius radio included. I think there is something wrong with your account.

Sorry about bumping an old thread, but I had to know.
I am interested in getting a new Caliber this year, if I let the suscription to the Sattelite radio expire, will I still be able to use the radio like a normal non-sattelite reciever?
I am a hard of hearing person, and dont have much use for a lot of stations, I just set mine to the local classic rock station ('CSX!), and leave it.
Dont wanna pay for no damm radio anyway!

Hi,
Yes the am/fm and cd will still work as normal. Whenever you click on SAT, it will just broadcast an ad for Sirius and have a 1-800 number on the screen. My wife doesn't listen to the radio that much so she let hers lapse. I drive a lot so I have mine still activated in my Ram.
