CVT Trans Issue TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!
okk, so my friends owns a 2007 Dodge Caliber 2.0L with cvt automatic transmission.. last night he calls me to rescue him, because he's on the side of the road and his car wont move anywhere... so anyways we get the car home, and whats happenening is the transmission oil temp light (the planet gear with temp gauage inside) was blinking really fast and all the PRNDL lights were blinking and they all had boxes around them. also when you put the gar into reverse the car clunked really loud and didnt want to move at all.. I forgot my OBD reader, and it was pissing rain.. so i told him I'd come back today and look at it. he calls me this morning and says the car is fine..
can anyone explain this? is this an intermitant issue? will it return? whats the problem?
thanks

nope car was not fine.. when he did put it in gear it started acting the same way again..
so basically the car has these DTC's
P0171 - System too lean bank 1
P0172 - System too rich bank 1
U0101 - Lost communication with TCM
U0402 - Invalid data recieved from TCM
P0131 - 02 sensor low voltage
anyways Im thinking it might be thee TCM, can you buy a new one and install it or does it have to be flashed, etc? also where is the TCM located, i found a module located under the dash, with two plugs going in it, a grey and white.. with about 15 or so wires in each plug, is this the TCM? 2 bolts hold it in place? I'm positive it is... thanks
