Default Colour Choice?

I've just ordered a Dodge Caliber in black with a red interior however, after seeing all the photos of the red Calibers, I'm now wondering if I've made the wrong choice???

Would a red paint job with a red interior be too much???

Dude, its your car. That choice is yours and yours alone. IMO, I don't like the colored inserts too much, too gaudy for me. If I had no choice in the matter, I would go black with the red interior. I've heard from people that when you go black, you never go back!

I've never bought a car new before, always pre-owned so all these choices have been made for me.

I kinda agree with you about the inserts too - oh, I'm too indecisive. (Although I knew I wanted a Caliber once I'd seen an advert when I was on holiday in the US)

I think I'm going to sleep on it and email my dealer in the morning.

Thanks for the welcome

Stephen,

I have a black SXT with the standard gray interior. It looks very classy that way...all kinds of gray tones on the inside...but that's what was on the lot so I had no real choice.

However, I think the red inserts with the black will look outstanding. And the red exterior with the red inserts will look extremely cool.

It's your choice.

In my opinion, after a period of time and the newness has worn off, it won't matter a whole lot what colors you've chosen.

Thanks Tim, you may well be right about the colour, but it is the whole newness when it matters most [sm=smiley20.gif]

I'm so looking forward to getting the car, even if the British car magazines have not been too kind about the Caliber [sm=smiley13.gif] There seems to be little that can comapre with it here at the price I've paid and I sure as hell don't want a car that looks like yet another clone, I want something that stands out.

Black with red inserts would look awesome! I was going to get that, but I live on a dirt road, so black isn't a wise choice. But, its your vehicle and you're the one making the payments and driving it everyday. Don't buy a car the everyone else likes but you don't, buy the car like you want it.

Oh and welcome to the forums!
