Hi, guys! My BF, MangoInTX, has a 2006 Go Man Go Charger and has converted me to Dodgedom. I am wanting to get a Dodge Caliber but am waiting for the SRT 4 to come out and then, let the mods begin! I'm also secretly hoping they will introduce a color like plum crazy by the time I'm ready to order. We shall see. I'll be looking forward to reading up on your experiences and hoping to increase my knowledge of my future car.

So, tell me about your Caliber! I'm looking forward to getting one once the SRT 4 comes out! And keep your fingers crossed for me - I'm wanting a plum crazy purple one!

 

I love it. The R/T (with proper slapstick redline use) will outrun a few cars it shouldn't . Recently took it on a 500 mile trip, and I like it even more now. Turns heads everywhere it goes as well.

 

I agree - it is a hot looking car! I saw a yellow one the other day that certainly turned my head. If they don't come out with the plum crazy color, I think I might opt for either the yellow one or the midnight blue one. I currently have a Toyota Corolla, which gets great gas mileage but I'm wanting something sporty yet practical. The caliber is right up my alley.

What kind of gas mileage did you get on your trip? I drive 40 miles each way to work (I work for a major airline) and I want to make sure I get some decent gas mileage!

I drove from Virginia to PA.... which is an 8 and a half hour drive one way and only stoped one time to fill up my gas tank........I dont know how to tell the mpg so I hope that helps you out..... and welcome..... by the way i have the orange caliber and love it .....

 

Best mileage we have gotten was 29 mpg on the long trip we took.

 

Wow - that sounds like you got some good gas mileage! I average about 34 mpg in my Toyota but I'm willing to get less to be happy with my ride! I love the orange one but my BF, MangoInTX, has the Mango Orange Dodge Charger so I want to be different. Maybe we should have a Mango and a Banana in the driveway - ha!

Wow - 29 mpg is a lot better than I had expected for the Caliber. Dodge has done it up right! I can't wait for the SRT 4 to come out so I can put my order in!

Plum will probably not be a color they come out with for 2007 Model year, and considering that they are giving the Caliber a mean attitude in advertising, I don't think Plum would be a color they come out with.
