Default cool zone AC vent slide problem...

In the cool zone there is a small vent slide at the top out of site that you slide to make the cool air come into the cool zone when the AC is on. Is anyone else having a problem with a loose vent slide? It seems like it slides back after every bumps. Recently I resorted to puttiong duct tap there to hold it open so air can flow through.

This thread has been on numerous times since the first Caliber was sold,my car was bulit June 22/06 and it too had the same thing with the door closing whenever you applied brakes.
You can play cat and mouse with your dealer to have repaired or you can take a piece of foam self adhesive weather stripping and place it so the door pulls over it it,this will stop the door from closing by itself.
A number of owners have removed the door completely.

There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on a factory fix for the sliding coolzone door.

ok. do you have the link to the bulletin? I guess it wouldn't hurt to just remove it.
