Cool Headlight problem

My friend has a 2002 Dodge Caravan with 3.3L. It has daytime running lights. The problem is that only one of them work. When he turns the headlights on with the switch the light that burns during the daytime goes out and the other one comes on while on low beam but when he switches to high beam the light that is on during the day comes back on and the one that is on when in low beam goes out. He has changed the bulbs, the headlight switch and the front control module but still has the same problem. Can anybody be of help?

Default 2001 dodge caravan es headlight problem.

i had the similar problem and i have fix it.

THE PROBLEM IS You have to change the silver module in fuse box
and you have reprogram it.

the cost for module is $300 to $500 dollar from the dealer

take out the white silver box at front of fuse box. you should see a line of silver spade shaped prongs. slightly twist the prongs with a needle nose plier I mean slightly to left or right. then put it back together. the slight twist seems to make it all connect properly and the lights will work again. 20 minute job no experience needed no cost

mikecaers: Thanks for the tip ; it worked perfectly. For how long is a guess. No reprograming needed. Maybe if the module is changed ???

all you have to do is. 1. Remove the 4 torque screws. 2. Unplug the silver module 3. take needle nose pliers and twist the flat pins.(not to much but noticeable.4. Plug back in and tighten torque screws....( I had same problem and did it this way and they still work today and that was over a year ago.) NO NEED TO REPROGRAM!!!

You don't have to buy the part.

I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan with the same problem. The fix is cleaniing, lightly wire brushing and bending tabs slightly on the FCM.
(metal box attached to front of fuse box held on with 4 torx head bolts. Remove and clean and what ever to get good connections on the electrical connections. I have had mine apart twice before I got it to work long term,(worked about one week the first time)but its been over two years and everything is working fine. Best thing is that its *******ly a free fix.
