2000 caravan van will not start code PO340

2000 caravan van will not start code PO340
2000 dodge caravan 3.0l
van stopped I have no spark at all van will not start have code po340 I have replaced the distributor with a know good one and checked the wiring coming from the distributor to the pcm, ground is good, has the 8 volts coming from the pcm and the sensor wire from the distributor to the pcm has conitinuity
what could be my problem I checked the asd relay and the fuel pump relay all check ok anything other than what I listed could be causing the problem ?

PO340 = No camshaft sensor detected during cranking.
The cam sensor sends cylinder identification to the PCM to sync ignition with the fuel system.
The Cam sensor is located at the base of the dist on the 3.0.
The cam sensor is $34.99 at autozone.com.
I'd start there.
