Default van not ready to be tested

Had check engine light on battery died jumped it no more check engine light. Went to go get it inspected/fixed said the car wasn't ready to be test. How many miles do you have to drive or what else do you need to do to get it ready to be tested. Just drove 75 miles light didn't come back on yet.

Well got my van back mechanic replaced oxygen sensor upstream and catalytic converter everything passes inspections woo hoo!! Yeah right had it back about 2 weeks now and map sensor code came on p108 van is bucking tach is jumping up and down and have to drive in autostick to get anywhere. Just ordered another map sensor should have it around 5 anything else that might be causing this. I've driven about 300-400 miles since we got it back with no problems till now. Really frustrated
