Spark plugs are stuck
Hello all, I just picked up a used 03 grand caravan se with 3.3l V6. I went today to check out the plugs. (front ones) when removing they were extremely tight and when un tighting i can only get about a half of turn. I dont want to wrench on them with the fear of them breaking. Anyone might know what the deal might be?
Also, it didnt come with a remote. Do i need to go to the dealer to get a remote?
The van came with 120000 miles on the clock. This is my first dodge but i have basic mechanic skills.
Any suggestion on maintenance for a this van? I

When I first got my rig I had a similar problem. The thread on said plugs are very long. A lot of contact area for corrosion. The good news is the harder to get at rear plugs aren't as effected because they are somewhat protected from the elements.
I bought a used '05 Caravan SXT w/3.3 V-6 in spring of '09 to replace my '93 Grand Caravan SE.
The '05 had about 70,000 miles. While running fine, I didn't really want to wait till 100,000 miles to change the spark plugs. I did an early plug change and I remember the front plugs being a bit more resistant to removing than the back row of plugs.
Having started with cars requiring 12,000 mile plug changes (and points/condensers), I'm slow to pick up on 100,000 miles - 30,000 miles was OK.

I could replaced two sparks plugs in front, but the middle one was stuck. I bought 'PB Blaster' and applied it couple times for last few days. I finally could take it out. I noticed that that lubricant actually penetrated up to the middle of the thread, worked like charm.
