Ok so after taking off the transmission pressure switch by mistake I examined the range sensor. I am a little unclear. so what do I use to check for voltage? also it looked like it was "wet" is this contact paste of some sort? Do i need to find my volt meter?

You should have power at pin 1 of the 10 pin connector. If you jump pin 1 to pin 6 the lamps should illuminate. If so, the problem is in the switch.

come on, I thought the purpose of the board is to help each other. I'm asking a quality question and would like to know where you are getting these service articles and pictures you paste in.
