what is prn23?

We are having problems communicating. I want to you get a camera, sit in the driver seat, start the engine, put your foot on the brake, put the transmission in reverse, take a picture of the PRND3L shift position indicator. Post this picture then we will all be on the same page.

ok. so I guess I have no power in the number 1 pin. I used the stripped twist tie to jump the pins and nothing. i did this with the ignition on and off. ??? LOL sorry for that. I did spell vacuum right tho! When turn the car on and it is running the individual PRND3L illuminated and the reverse is highlighted. When the van is not running and i tried to jump the 1 and 6 pin position nothing happens. so..... I am wondering if i am doing this diagnostic correctly.

i pulled the socket off. i inserted the small gauge wire from the twist tie into the female pin locations 1 and 6 with the ignition off and on. nothing hightlighted on the PRND3L or illuminated for that matter. I have to go to school and I will try this again tomorrow!

are you able to read and comprehend the wiring diagram Tizzy put on?

pin1 comes from a fuse that is HOT when the IGN is on!.

oh and are you checking at the correct connector?

Is using a small piece of metal wire sufficient for jumping the pins?

speed sensor has 2 pins and 2 wires. IDK how you could get mixed up between 2 and 10. :?
