No brake lights after fuel pump replaced!
I took my wife's caravan to a car shop and they replaced the fuel pump. A couple of weeks have passed and we just noticed we have no brake lights. I checked the fuse and the light bulbs, they are ok. I'm wondering if they might have done anything to them when they replaced the fuel pump. The thing is I really don't know how long they haven't worked. All help and advice you can give me will be appreciated much. Thanks, Mike
1998 Dodge Caravan 2.4 l, which we purchased new in 1998. Brake lights are one of those things you don't know if they are working or not until someone tells you. I don't know if they were working when we took it in for fuel pump or not. I know they had to drop the fuel tank to replace the pump and I wondered if they could have disconnected a wire or anything?
immediately take it back to the people that worked on it. otherwise, get a wiring diagram. If Tizzy would actually answer my numerous questions on where he is getting them that he's always posting, I'd return the favor and post it for you.
All the wiring for the brake lamps runs inside the vehice. Unless they torched a hole in the floor of your van, they did nothing to effect your brake lamp operation. Get a job at a dealer Sapo and you'll have all the information I have.

well gee that was hard for you to finally divulge where you're getting all the factory info on computer. I have to get out my shop manuals, scan them to put it on the computer.
I'd get a job at a dodge dealer if there was any left in my area. all 3 are gone.

P.S. no hole in floor.
