Default CEL light not working?

I posted earlier about the EGR valve, I had my van fail the emsion test with P0404 code, no CEL ever came on. I fixed the valve with a new one and no more codes. I noticed that the CEL light does not work. I did a test for the instrument panel by holding the "trip" button in for 10 seconds, everything light up other than the CEL light. Now is this repairable? can a new bulb be replace? or something else? Please help me with this. Thanks guys.

Master Tech, I had at one time removed the cluster to replace the bulbs to light up the panel, is there a way to open up the cluster to get to that CEL bulb. I dont want to break anything, or does is snap off? Thanks for your help.

I think the only replaceable bulbs in '05 are the cluster illumination. Not possitive though.

cluster is pretty easy to remove though, you pop up the little cover right behind the column covers. There are 4 screws in the cluster bezel and remove it. 4 screws for the cluster and lean it forward to disconnect it and out she comes.

I have taken it out once to replace those bulbs, but is there anyway to replace the CEL bulb? or anyother bulb inside the cluster?

Here's what I could find in the manual....

INTERIOR LAMPS

BULB APPLICATION TABLE

LAMP</B>

BULB</B>

ABS LED/ AIRBAG LED/ ALARM SET LED/ BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LED/ CONSOLE 194/ CRUISE INDICATOR VFD*/ DOME/RAIL LAMPS 578/ DOOR AJAR INDICATOR LED/ DOOR COURTESY LAMP 578/ FRONT DOOR COURTESY 567/ GLOVE BOX 194/ HIGH BEAM INDICATOR LED/ CLUSTER ILLUMINATION PC74/ LIFTGATE 578/ LIFTGATE AJAR LED/ LOW FUEL INDICATOR LED/ LOW WASHER FLUID INDICATOR LED/ /MIL LED/ OIL INDICATOR LED/ OVERHEAD CONSOLE READING PC579/ PRNDL INDICATOR (BASE CLUSTER) LED/ PRNDL INDICATOR VFD/ READING 578/ SEAT BELT INDICATOR LED/ TEMPERATURE INDICATOR LED/ TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LED/ TRAC OFF INDICATOR VFD*/ VISOR VANITY 6501966/ VOLTAGE INDICATOR LED/ * VFD = VACUUM FLUORESCENT DISPLAY

It appears that the MIL lamp is an LED and not replaceable.
