Default 1999 Grand Caravan cooling system help?

I have a 1999 Grand Caravan with a 3.3 liter motor! I was experiencing water/coolant leakage from the front of the motor by the lower radiator hose. I examined where it was coming from and decided to change my thermostat!
This fixed the leakage problem for about thirty miles. Next my water pump went out and I replaced it! This fixed the leakage for about ten miles! Now, I am seeing water leak from the firewall side of the motor? The pump, radiator, and the hoses are not leaking! My next conclusion is a head gasket went out?
I can repair a head gasket but does anyone think it might be an easier fix? I am thinking of possibly flushing the cooling system, this is getting annoying!

Welcome to DF
It could be the head gasket or a heater control valve if you have one. This is what happens as the cars and trucks get older, hoses and seals start leaking. If you do one head gasket, then do both and replace all hoses too.

Thanks for your reply! The water leak now appears to be coming from one hose on the firewall side in the middle! I am going to follow that hose and hopefully it will lead to the heater control valve. The motor seems to have adequate power and I would hate to be changing head gaskets. Another thing is the motor seems to be running hot even the sensor says in the middle on the dash gauge!

I removed the alternator and found the hose leaking goes to the bottom of the heater unit on the firewall. The hose was only like 4" long! I hope this doesn't mean I need a new heater core? The unit is also on my lebaron?

Default Replace the hose?

I assume this is an over flow hose coming from the heater core? It doesn't go to anything and there is one on the drivers side also. So wouldn't I be right to assume my rear heater core needs replacing?
Rear heater core removal/installation

The heater box has a drain tube, that allows the a/c to drain and if coolant is coming out of the drain. Then the heater code is leaking.

That's my initial summation of the problem; I will have to replace the rear heater core located under the dash on the passenger side. So for all you do it yourselfers, learn from my headache. Do not assume with out a coolant pressure test; had I not made assumptions of the problem by changing components where I saw water dripping from, I could have saved myself some money. I ended up replacing two hose clamps and a water pump, all of which was more then likely unnecessary.
The problem is a leaking rear heater core. Said heater core is located under the dash on the passenger side and is the rear heater core in this Grand Caravan. Because of the tight fit of the motor the drain for this heater core is not visible, but it was what was leaking, in fact the coolant leaked on to the drive belt and was sprayed up to the front of the radiator and also the water pump. Giving the appearance this was where water was leaking from.

Thanks for your thoughts moderator i.e. Master Tech!

Still having a nightmare! I have now totally disassembled my dash. What I found is completly different from what the library online books show? The books show two heater cores and I haven't even found one yet?
I'm looking at where the radiator coolant is leaking from the firewall and want to and will remove the housing in the passenger inside of the firewall. But I am thinking to myself, if the system has two heater cores what to say which one is leaking? I seriously wish I had some proper pictures to continue my exploration? Is there anywhere online I can find a chiltons or something that would guide me better?
Do you think I would be better off just buying a manuel?

it is always BEST to own a factory service manual

if I had a coolant leak that I couldn't determine exact source, I'd use trace dye and a black light to find it.

if you had a leaky heater core, you'd have antifreeze smell in the interior and window fogging on cool/cold days.
