Doesn't run rough only was the alternator making noise unhook live wire to coil and it won't start

 

I shouldn't say runs rough, it runs fine with 12v to the third coil wire, but the alternator is sounding bad..... will not start without direct power to the coil. :/

 

Dodge caravan 01 p1388 and p1684 codes got thrown after dieing on highway. Checked asd relay was good and all the wiring was in good condition. Nothing was working finally checked all fuses. It was a blown fuse located right behind the asd relay. Check that first.

 

This is a 12 year old post. You should have started a new one and then report what you found.
