Default Napa Gold Filter

Agreed with mastertech, go with the NAPA Gold. A truly awesome filter made by Wix (some consider the best in the industry). The 'Silver' line is a lower quality, but will hold up easily under a 5000-7000 mile OCI regime.

mopar doesn't make filters. They've been known to outsource with such firms as Honeywell (Fram), Purolator, etc. The firm producing (,and maybe quality) the mopar line of filters has seemingly varied over time. However, the overall design and construction of the filter makes it reliable.

Where I live, the mopar filter suitable to my caravan is cheaper from the dealer then the NAPA Gold from NAPA.
By golly gee, never slap a fram on there due to their poor design, materials, construction, and filter media.

However, after much deliberation over the actual construction and make up of these filters..... I use NAPA Gold with Mobil 1 synthetic. It's already -15 celcius where I live, and so synthetic rules the roost. Incidentally, the NAPA Gold also silicone ADBV (as does mopar), which is much better than plain ol' rubber in sub zero temperatures..... That reminds me.... block heater time
