Welcome to DF
The speedo problem maybe the output sensor or a broken wire to the sensor. How long has the lite been on for the trans selector?

IDK how the output speed sensor or wire would affect the code and the range selector illumination issue or the code given?

Not sure how the OP is going to use the diagnostic routine w/o having a DRB?

this problem is definitely in need of a scanner to trouble shoot.

There maybe an open wire going to the out sensor, This a common problem that i see all the time. But the owner needs a starting point and that starting point is the bus message from the TCM, and then look at the other problems. And you do need a scanner that can read all modules, not just PCM.

Default 2002 dodge 1500 wont crank over

My truck had a bad negative battery clamp. I changed it and when putting on battery I got a spark. Now it wont crank over and gear selector shows its it's in all the gears with code 1698. Reset code and put rebuilt fuse box and pcm in it and same thing except no code. I put a junkyard tcm in and still have same. Ground cables all right but I took them off and cleaned them up good. Any ideas?
