Default tranny cooler line link metal meets rubber

Hi. This is my first post. Hope to hear from you if you or friend had success.

Have caravan--tranny metal line meets rubber hose, secured by a crimp.

4 questions.

1) If you or a friend fixed this leak at the crimp what was best way without running a whole new line from cooler to tranny (condo commandos won't allow to to begin taking all sorts of parts off my car?

2 Pull exisiting hose over metal line and clamp it? does experience say yes?

3. Compression fit over metal line with a bard going into hose side?

4. Is there a rib or flare under the crimp that must be cut off or hose pulled over the flare or rib?

Did my 01' GMC pickup tranny lines last year with compression fittings. No leaks!!! Just double hose clamp the rubber lines with your barbs should be fine, I would say.

use fuel injection hose clamps as they seal better than standard gear clamps

Welcome to DF
Why not just replace the line or lines. What year is you van? Because on some vans you need a tool to remove the lines.

put on an aftermarket cooler and put it wherever you want, zip tie it to the outside of the bumper, or enough hose and you could mount it to one of the roof racks lol
