anyone out there have the diagnostic flow chart for p1698 for a 2001 grand caravan 3.3liter?

 

the tcm b+ wire between the ipm and the tcm had a break around 20 inches from the 60 pin tcm connector so the tcm was not powering up and therfore not communicating with the pcm i repaired the break tested for 12v at pin 56 yellow with red wire and tcm powered up shifting good and speedometer working thank you master tech for the schematics it was a huge help!!!

we bought the van used about 3 1/2 years ago and it looks like someone was testing for power with a test lite by poking through the wires insulation there was a small puncture hole in the wire and corrosion seeping from the whole and i live in buffalo with the winters we get a small puncture whole combiened with road salt do alot of damage but thats what it looks like

 

I have this exact same problem on my 1996 Grand Caravan. What's the best way to figure out the exact location of the problem without having to use a code reader.

i guess all i need to know is if 800rpm is normal idle for a caravan in park
