Default How long has your tranny lasted?

Saw on old forum that tranny man said he was surprised that his caravan 04 went 112,000 miles, indicating that go out at about 90,000.

I now have 63,000. So the news according to this guy is looking like dooms day is around the corner?

Has any of your trannys went longer? I changed my fluid/filer at 55,000 miles. Sure hope that helped.

My transmission only has 60k on it for a 1996 avenger. As long the transmission is service on a reg bases, you shouldn't have that much problem. And that you don't beat the crap out of it.

2001 Caravan SE - 206k and still smooth. Didn't change any fluid for the last 120K. Still runs like a charm.

168,000 miles on our 2001 and counting. Of course, I've changed the fluid 6 times over the life of the van but it has been worth it to me to not have to rebuild the original.

I honestly don't know but I think it is a miracle. I just bought 3 months ago T&C with 117k and hope that this will run for a long time without any issues.
