Default Another iPod Problem

I'm pretty sure that this forum as a whole has had enough with the iPod problems, but here it is anyway:

So, just recently purchased a new 2010 Grand Caravan. And I have gotten the model with the uConnect screen with 30GB Hard Drive. The problem is that I can't get my iPod to play through a USB cable with the built-in USB slot on the system itself.

With my 2011 Journey, I can just plug in my iPod with a USB in the center compartment, but not with the Grand Caravan. How can I overcome this?

Thanks in advance.

Until someone pipes in - pull out your User's Guide and their is a chapter (under Electronic's in my 2011 User's Guide) with a number of options for playing your iPod through your Media Center. There are a few "you can and you can't" listed (iPod compatibility, etc.).

On the Uconnect systems you can not play ipod thru the USB connector on the face of the radio. Is there a rectanglelar connector in the glove box or center console. If you see this, then you will need to go to the dealer and buy the ipod cable to plug into tois connectoor and the ipod.

There is one indeed. After reading through it, one would assume that it would actually BE located in the glove box or the center console. How much do those UCI cables usually run for?

EDIT: Could I also have the part number for it? Thanks!!!

I have a 2010 Grand Caravan, not 2011. The 2011 is my Journey.
