They call for a brass punch because it reduces the chance of sparks and possible ignition of gasoline vapors.

Ok i got it started. It starts up right away, its idling fine but when in gear its running real rough. Now i drove it and it doesnt have to much power. It did smell a bit when i first, like rotten eggs. That smell seems to have gone away, but the power loss is still there.Any thoughts?????

Switch the plug and wire with another cylinder and see it the misfire moves. Move them to different cylinders so you know if it's a plug or wire. The check engine light flashes when you are in danger of melting down your catalytic convertor. Must be missing pretty bad.
