Default Need HELP (transmission) Please

Here's the short of it.
History - Radiator leak, engine hot a few times and consequentially I'm sure transmission fluid as well. Engine fine.
- Solenoid pack leaks pretty aggressively.
- vehicle started slipping out of gear while driving and the RPM's went up.
- ease off the accelerator and the trany re-engeges.
- there is also a really loud whinning noise upon acceleration while in neutral and in drive.
- have trouble codes for different input and output ratios for 2nd, 3rd, and fourth gears.
- also a code for a TCM fault.
Have had some electrical ghost for sometime now. The vehicle has recently become hard to start, windows operate slowly, lights and radio will stutter every now and again.

Do I have a couple of issues or is there possibly a short in the TCM, Transaxle, Solenoid pack or a faulty ECM.

Man I'm lost. Oh yea I'm gonna have to do this myself.
Can't afford a shop.

Please help.
Damon

Welcome to DF
Have you check the fluid level? Did you get the stored codes from the TCM? From what you are writing, I'm only guessing transmission. i would need more information. CVI and clutch test.

fluid level was a little low, topped it off. I have the codes for the OBD 2 scanner, but nothing has been plugged into the TCM itself.
CVI and clutch test, please explain.

Hi Damon
CVI Is Clutch Volume Index, Thats how much fluid to fill the clutch pack. Clutch test is where I could tell with a DRB3 if the clutch packs in the transmission are slipping. Clutch test only check reverse, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears.

with the solenoid pack leaking, would enough pressure for the fluid to operate the cluthes still be sufficient?

And the whinning noise is directly proportional to the RPM's increasing or decreasing. I guess I'm trying to say, It's like a metallic whine and it doesn't sound electrical or hydraulic. It seems to be a no brainer from the noise, that it's an internal malfunction, mechanical in nature. And I'm hoping you tell me that one of the sensing or signaling devices being bad could cause the tranny to act in such a manner.

? Is a "slip" in a clutch plate assembly described as "different input and output ratios", for whatever gear the trany may be in, on the read out of a OBD 2 monitor?
