2010 Dodge Caravan 4.0l with bad gasoline (Please read, need help)
What's up guys? My parent's own a 2010 Dodge Caravan sxt with the 4.0 liter V6. Yesterday I passed somebody in it and then the whole motor started shaking A LOT everytime i tapped the gas and it threw a CEL. I thought it was the tranny because I dropped it in third to pass. Anyway, I get home and pop the hood and the motor is shaking like it's having a seizure. It apparently had "bad gas".
I guess me passing somebody and driving up the rpm's with the poor quality gasoline messed up the car. We called roadside assistance and a tow truck came to my house and picked up the van. Today my parent's received a phone call from Dodge saying it's going to be $400 to repair it. I think that's a load of crap. They're selling a product, and should warranty the motor or whatever is wrong inside the motor.
P.S. This is the second 2010 Caravan we owned, the first one we owned for about 2 days because the car wouldn't go passed second gear. The van's are nice, just the reliability seems to be quite a problem, as with other Dodge vehicles.
What do you think I should do? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks and god bless!!

1st of all, bad gas is not Dodge's fault and not a warranty issue. Whomever sold you the bad gas is at fault. Your insurance company may cover it.
I have 3 Dodges and none have been a reliability problem, so I don't know what merit that comment has.
You need to find out what needs to be repaired and let us know that.

lxman1 is correct. Chrysler didn't sell the gas if that is the problem and will not be covered under warranty. You need to keep a sample of the fuel and go to the gas station and see if they will do something about the problem.
