2002 Dodge Caravan WIN module
That was a stupid accident... I tried to delete a post somewhere else and must've deleted both of them, I was tired. -.-Anyway, now I get to write this out again.
Basically, my key wouldn't start my van, it would start up then shut off a few seconds later showing the oil light. I brought it into the dealership and they said it was the WIN module which I'd already replaced a year ago. I went ahead and got a new one and a new key because they wouldn't program the other one.
After going in 3 times to attempt to get this new key programmed, they couldn't do it so now I'm stuck with one key.
Even worse, the WIN module seems to be failing already, they replaced it maybe 2 weeks ago and the problem is starting again. I know if I bring it back they'll say there's nothing they can do or they don't know what the problem is. I could get a new module but I'm sure they'll mess something up there and I'll have no working keys.
I was hoping someone who's had this problem or knows something could shed some light on what might be happening and if it's fixable.
They then ordered in a brand new key and couldn't program that key either. They've also reset all the keys and tried multiple times and talked with engineers from other dealerships and couldn't find an answer.
EDIT: After checking the receipt, it does mention it being a SKIM/SKIS module. The person at the dealership told me it was a WIN module but was clearly just wrong.
