Default 02 SE 2.4L water pump

Any tips or tricks for replacing a water pump on one of these to make it alittle easier? Its a new to me Caravan SE basic model it has power nothing lol. but can't complain was told the engine was bad so i paid $400 for it but the engine seems to run great, and it only has 98K miles, After you start it like 10seconds after it starts pouring water out from the timing cover it seems so i am thinking the gasket for the pump is bad or the o-ring that connects the pump to the line. It sat for 4 years at a shop left Abandoned because the owner had it fixed but didn't want to pay for it, It doesn't over heat so i am really thinking the pump isn't bad but maybe the gasket or o-ring.

Here is what I would do, remove the timing cover and fill and pressure check the cooling system. Then see if the coolant is leaking from the water pump, hose's or the head gasket.

I am thinking its the o-ring where the water pump connects to the pipe, Because when you start it up it will be pouring water out from the timing cover but once the thermostat opens the leak stops to just a drip

If you pressure test the system, it will make it easier to find.

Okay, Anyone have the PDF of the shop manual for the removal of the water pump on the 2.4? If it is the o-ring could i just remove the water pipe that runs to the water pump from where it bolts to the side of the block?

It could be leaking from the weep hole. I'll post information on the replacement of a water pump.
