Default 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan clunking shifting into drive from park or reverse

Hi
I have a 2012 Grand Caravan, this is the third Dodge van that I have owned. I upgraded from a 2008. I have never had any transmission issues before that are apparently a Dodge trait, until now.
When I shift from either park or reverse into drive I get a "clunk" noise. It does not happen all the time and their does not seem to be a pattern. I have read about a program upgrade for the grand caravan, would it fix something like this or could I be looking at a bigger issue.

Thanks in advance.

The update will fix it temporarily. Dont know if it applys to your yr and it might not be free. My 2013 does it sometimes and I get used to it

Torque the front axle nuts to 165 foot pounds. If the cluck is gone, replace both front axle nuts. Also check the torque on the front motor mount too.

I'm having this same issue with my 2012 an intermittent *clunk* when selecting reverse and sometimes into drive. Dmfurgala, are you able to confirm that this solved the problem?

My '11 R/T actually bangs into gear sometimes. Usually when you move the selector into drive very shortly after starting the engine. I find myself waiting longer and still does it sometimes but less. Dealer has done the flash and changed the fluid and seals. No leaks but I'm concerned about the longevity of the trans. Taking it back in to have them recheck. btw.. don't like the "no dip stick" to check trans fluid.
