Default Van Killing Battery for No Apparent Reason??

Hey guys, I have two Dodge vans, I took the battery out of the one that starts and everything no problem yesterday and put it into my other van with a dead battery. The other van started up right away, I drove it a little bit, and parked it. I go out this morning to start it and it just turns the gauges on and clicks like there's a dead battery. No lights we're left on, and I might add that the lights do not like to turn on - on the vehicle at night.
What the heck is going on?

Thanks!

You may have a circuit that draining the battery. Remove and unplug the radio and let the vehicle sit over night. Check and see if it starts.

Okay so I boosted it, and drove it around for about 3 hours yesterday and shut it off left it sit for 8 hours, started up fine.
How about the lights, turn them on inside the cab, if you bang on the fuse box they'll come on most times but you can't switch to high beams, is this just a fuse or what?

Is the wipers working? Because it sounds more a bus problem and not fuse.

Im with caravan about the alternator, if you haven't checked it yet its real simple. Loosin up the positive battery cable, start the car and remove the cable. If it dies, your alt is bad.

No Don't do that. The spike will take out the PCM. Take the vehicle to a shop and find out why the battery is going dead.

Really, Ive been doin it for ten years, aint ever had a problem. I actually just did it in my 98 ram, My brother showed me how to test it with a multimeter and then I showed him my way! Although I havent ever owned anything newer then 2001. (Not that changes anything that you said, but i meant to say negative, not positive)
