I just picked up this van like 2 weeks ago, its a 03 Caravan SXT 3.3L Runs and drives good, but i am about to start a tune up on it as it still has some factory stuff like Mopar wires etc, Well i check it for codes even tho there is NO CEL on, i was thinking i was gonna see a O2 sensor code but nope only the P1698 CCD code, but i don't have any problems besides it getting poor fuel mileage, and the back light for the fuel gauge doesn't work (Haven't checked the bulb yet) and the fuel gauge is alittle flaky.

Should i worry about the P1698?

 

Is your van shifting through all the gears?

Getting about 80-90 miles out of 5 gallons, Its shifting just fine as near as i can tell, but I get better mileage out of my 96 Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8

 

What I can find it's something to do with your tcm not talking to your pcm. Hopefully someone will chime in with more.

 

Does the cluster do a bulb check for the check engine lamp? I do have a PDF file for this code. If you need it, let me know and send me a email address to send the information. That also goes for everyone else.

 

I cleared the code and it hasn't came back, plus today i did the cluster swap and ran into afew problems but it will be in my swap thread...
