Default Question on ESP

Is there any way to completely disable the ESP. I thought I read some time back that there may be a chip or something coming to the public to make this go away completely. I turn mine off but it still takes control when I get a little crazy, owners manual says it overides the off switch under certain conditions. Anybody have any input on this?

This product touts their product will “totally disabling ESP until the next time you start your vehicleâ€. They developed a circuit board and leads that hook up much like the cheap ESP switch a lot of us have done. It costs $50.00.

It looks like a cheap date and thanks for the link but will this raise hell with my factory and/or extended warranty though. I've had a bad experience in the past with a voided warrantyand don't want to go there again.

I believe their disclamer at the bottom of that web page says it all...

What is the point of disabling the ESP? Does it make the car faster or something? Or does it just let you leave pretty black marks ALL over the pavemtne? [sm=gears.gif]

Guess the point of disabling ESP would be to let you get on it without ESP saying no your not. ESP will not let you unleash your freak

Default RE: Question on ESP

Ok I am a nut, but I was pulling out ofa parking lot withroad slightly wet and just had to let her rip. I shut down the ESP to try and get some sideways action and did, then suddenly I felt and heard the left rear tire do something wrong ( the brake kicked in) and suddenly I am going straight. I imagine most people may say that the ESP was working as intended, I say leave me alone. I am not sure how fast I was going but I was sideways for a bit until the brake came on. I believe the ESP will overide the off button at whatever speed but off should be off. I'll get the gismo for fifty bucks! Thanks for the input and I still love my RT and I am still smiling.

Yep, ESP isnew school stuff. You can pull fuse 17 as well to achive the same thing, but also ABS doesn't work. The new schoolers would freak w/o ABS

GSM does have a nice Torque Mgmt/Fan setup they would be glad to sell you for 200+ smackers (two spst toggle switches, inline fuse, some wire and loom).

It looks like the NoESP folks are also working on a fan mod so give them a little time to finalize that. It would be nice to have both ESP & Fan mods inone bundleat a decent price.
