Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let u know my car is finally repaired. The issue was a broken Val spring. The dodge/Chrysler engineers diagnosed it. I have been driving for a week now & all seems well. Thanks again for everyone's advice
You're saying it was broken "valve" spring (intake or exhaust)? Was it an expensive repair job?
I'm sorry, I'm not very knowledgable of this car stuff but yes I assume "valve" spring is the correct word. I'm not sure about "intake or exhaust". I can tell u they said it was machanical & the engineers at dodge/Chrysler had to diagnos it because the regular machanics were unable to. I believe it was close to 1000.00 but the car dealership that I purchased the car from covered it so I'm unsure of the exact cost.
A valve spring can be done without taking the cylinder head off. Now, if it went unchecked and the valve detached from the keepers and fell down in the cylinder, then you got trouble.
