Dodge charger issues
So I recently bought a dodge charger with 5.7l hemi, previous owner got it hot dropped 2 valve seats. After replacing 3 pistons and rings in all cylinders I had heads done. Put back together. New plugs, car ran great. Like amazingly good made it 8 miles for my test run perfectly fine. On my way back car died and would never start again. It would backfire through the intake. Thought timing was off so took valve covers off to check top dead center and to watch rockers move during the cycles and it was alright. Well now I checked fuel and one side of fuel tank (drivers side) is completly full. Passangers side of tank is completly empty. Would this be my problem.
No like one side of fuel tank is full other's empty. Put fuel in both sides and didn't change a thing. Still backfiring. Could cam position sensor cause issue with timing that far that can is firing during the wrong cycles
I would guess if the engine is backfiring it maybe timing not fuel. Does the vehicle has MDS? If it did have you done a throttle re-lean and are the push rods in the correct positions. Because you do have long and short push rods. Have you re-check the timing at the camshaft?
