RE: Trunk Lid rubbing bumper
Mine is rubbing in three spots. Based on my experiences with street rod building my game plan is to have the dealer repaint the cover and then use the same 3M clear plastic that you can buy to protect from rock chips on the bumpers and rockers of any car. I would expect a revised bumper cover design in 2007, but I sure as heck wouldn't let a dealer hill billy rig my car with sheet metal screws.
Also just so you know they also didn't put the hood struts on the newest Chargers because it bent the hoods at the mounting point on the Magnums. I expect a new hood reinforcement because who the heck wants a $35k car with a hood prop. (I did install the struts designed for the 300C but I know to be extra careful when closing the hood)

Another thought I had was to have the dealer install 3M double faced moulding tape on the back side of the cover near the lamps. This should pull it in enough to stop the wear with out an additional ugly screw head. Also note that if the cover is worn the edge of the trunk is too.

Welcome to the happy world of Charger owners!!!! and welcome to the board.
I, like baldylox, have no problems with my trunk rubbing anything, and I bought mine just before this past Thanksgiving.

BUT- I see there's quite a few of those folks here as well....and I guess I am too now!
And yep- I have the "bumper rub", and I've reversed the rubber stoppers and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. The bad part is that 2 dealers have told me they can't get the marks out [][:@]
