tridom - There is a new kit out to fix this common problem. Not sure if it's supposed to be available now, or the first of next month. The dealer, or their body shop (most likely) will do the fix. They should also fix your paint.

Ok I took mine in the Bulletin everyone is talking about,is for to much space not the lid rubbing.This is straight from the dealers mouth but they fixed it anyway.We go pick it up tomorrow I will tell you how she looks.I am gonna go have them look on the lot at all the cars,and show them that they are all doing it so maybe they will have another bulletin for us .
Open trunks, get a pair of channel locks and twist the rubber bumpers 180 degrees till the raised part is towards you. The buff out scratches and your troubles are over.
Yea my charger has the same problem, the edge of the trunk lid on the left side mostly but it also rubs the right side as well. There should be a petition to Dodge to fix this problem because it is sure aggravating. Gomango51
