ALL HANDS ON DECK ESP IS DEAD
ive added the link to my picture of the mod and its also in my album 1 with the mod and the second with a siple sticker covering it to demo how easy it is to cover
Just completed, took about an hour---wow!!!!!!! I tested it on an open road from a dead stop, punched it and the thing just about got side ways with no power braking. On mine though I still had to hit the ESP off button to get the squiggly line indicator. I think that my torque managment is tuned off by the ESP OFF button and the actual ESP/BSA is klled by the switch install modification. I'm still testing but boy, is it fun. Now just need to figure out which chip to buy, HYPERTECH Power Programer III or Superchip's flashpac??????????????

dont get either yet dcx is coming out with 2 new computers the new hal brain and a tranny module in about a week or 2 be patient and wait i had teh superchip and sold it waiting for the new units to come out but if these units suck and we have to go back to our own flashs ......superchips i believe is the better unit more choices and upgradeable through down loads .on ebay there is a guy who is selling them for 350 if you make an offer.
Someone could make a LOT of money selling this mod as a plug in part. They need only buy the two connectors, and wire them straight through pin for pin. Except the run a nice long wire on the one that gets the switch.
I would pay for something that I could plug in, and unplug when needed leaving the harness totally unmodified. Of course you would have to market it as a "paperweight", because the legal ramifications of bypassing safety devices in your car carries a LOT of liability.
works great. no problems with install or anything. hardest part is getting the stupid dash apart
. i didnt want any holes in my plastic just in case so i put my switch in the ash try. i will post pics when wife gets home from work with the car.

yes very easy. i just put a toggle switch in between the wire. start car up and hit the switch esp and everything will come on dash light showing its off. the only thing is you cant just turn the switch back to get it to clear. you flip the switch back and then have to turn car off and it will be reset when you start car back up. tookk me less then an hour. switch was $4.49 auto zone. put it this way my 4 years old son helped on the install
. well he likes to help on every install. intake, exhaust ect.[sm=gears.gif]

So the whole center console has to come loose to do this, then did you solder the wire to your switch or just crimp to a connector? What else yo unotice besides frying the tires, does it not feel like it has to hit 3000 rpms to feel like its hitting hard?
