well im glad you broke it down should have done that myself but as long as someone did it thats cool the rubber mates well there are 2 in total..... 1 in the console covering the screws there ,the 2nd one is in front of the shiftercomes up with a little tug ,maybe i shouldnt call them rubber mates but deffinently plastic

] I just have to put things down 1, 2, 3..... or I can't follow. I think it's an age thing

I had to re-read the instructional paragraph, "purple wire with a blue strip" it is. I missed that the first time around. It all ran together in my head

I'd still like to hear from those who have done this about whether or not there is still the "power serge" at 3000 rpm like before the mod, i.e., is it stronger throughout the rpm range, or what. It is obvious that it's stronger on the bottom end.

yep its the purple wire it has a blue stip running down the wire .if some one wants to tru out the mod and decisde if they want to do it follow all the steps and before cutting unplug the unit and drive around see if you like it enough to follow through with it

well I went and got one that looks OEM,its all black nice and flat looks stock.I am gonna mount it in the center console,maybe glove box .Only problem I have to drill A 15\16 or .9375 hole for the switch.(found my iron just have to go get some solder and wire)Ill try to post some pics.If I dont go waterfowling thursday I may just do it then.

Ok Dave here it is I didnt drill hole I put it in coin slot,fits petty good. I used a little pc of foam to keep it from rattlein if it ever decided to.It stays in place when flipped on and off,and can be quickly removed if need be.The only thing I'll have to drill will be a small hole at the bottom of the coin slot for the wires to stick through.
