Default Vintage truck

My grandfather bought a brand new truck in March 1946. Chassis number 91091090.
I have tried to find this VIN number, but i seems it is not complete.
This truck was used as a bus in weekends.
When not used in work, my family used as a holiday carriage.
Is there any way to find out what that truck was? History? Data?

Probably not any more. Unless you get REALLY lucky. Records from that era are pretty much long gone.... Do you have any other pics?

I'd scan the receipt and post it here. Somebody might twig to it. It doesn't look like a Dodge, but the angle might be misleading.

Okay, being an export, it probably wasn't a Dodge but was a Fargo or possibly a DeSoto truck. Export trucks were usually just rebadged versions of Dodges but there were things that were unique to foreign markets. The VIN like we use today didn't come around until about 1968. Back when this truck was built, there was a body number but the engine number was usually the serial number which was used in place of the VIN.

I have posted the image on our family group page on Facebook if there is anyone alive that remembers the truck. And send a request to the vehicle register in Norway if there is a known truck delivered the day in that city.

Thanks!
That seems logical that the truck was not sold during the WWII in Norway.
T-series is the 1939 production.
