$16,200 for mine in February of 2007. Now it is worth about 11k according to kbb and nada and I owe $14,400 on it still. I will never buy a truck without options again.

I paid 16,200 for my 2006 Dodge Dakota ST Club Cab 2WD V6 3.7. Not a whole lot of options besides auto trans, a/c, and am/fm cd player. Had no miles on it when I bought it in February 2007

My 1995 Dakota which I traded for the 2006 I bought for $6000, it was a one owner and only had 31,000 original miles on it. It had the 3.9L V6, was an SLT with all power options, Club Cab, and a 2WD Automatic. Sometimes I miss it.

My 1992 Dakota I originally bought for $800 cash. It was a 3.9L V6 2WD Automatic, Regular Cab. It had no options besides a/c and power steering. The interior on it was absolutely spotless but the exterior needed paint bad. Had to put $400 into it immediately to fix the brakes which were totally shot. Ended up selling it to a local electrician for $1800 so I made a $600 profit. Funny thing is about a year ago I was looking for a business on the West Side of Des Moines and I randomly turned on this side street to stop so I could call someone for directions when I saw it parked on the street. Paint was basically gone but the damn thing was still running! Had 107k on it when I sold it, and that was two or three years before I saw it.

Hey cramerica, its all in when you buy it and what you buy it with. We made the mistake of buying something that was worth barely anything new, and our vehicles depreciated as soon as we drove em off the lot. Its all in when you buy them, incentives are always the best around the beginning of fall to about february the next year because the new models are on the lot and they want to get rid of the old ones. If we would have gotten four wheel drive I bet our trucks would be worth about 3-4k more not to mention the 4.7l v8. I would buy new again but I won't make the mistake of buying something with no options.
