1991 Daytona
Blue with rusted out floor boards. So far only mod is some Sunpro gauges in the lower cubby hole due to the OEM gauges not working very well. (or at all in case of temp gauge.)

 

I'm the 2nd owner of a Red '92 Daytona Shelby IROC, 2.5 T1 with 92,000 miles on it (bought it in 1994 with 20,000 miles). Rare with low production numbers blah, blah, blah . . . Shelby blah, blah, blah . . . .

Slight mods include: 2.5 inchCustom stainless/aluminum exhaust with high flowcat andFlow Master muffler, K&N air filter, 2 gauge A-pillar pod with Turbo Boost and A/F ratio gauges, 17 inch 5 spoke wheels with 45 series tires, koni adjustable shocks and struts, and a P.I.T. electronic boost controller. Just running 11 psi of boost (at the moment) until I install the intercooler and upgrade the fuel system.

After 12 years of driving this car, I still get a grin on my face every time my right foot touches the floor board! This is my 6th FWD Dodge and my 3rd Turbo car of them.

My wife and I bought ournear mint 5 speed Garnet Pearl & Silver1984 Daytona Torbo Z with the full ground effects package, in 1992 with a verified 24000 miles on it, we try to drive it only in fair weather using it only for trips etc, to date it has only 54000 actual miles on it and is still very much like new.When purchased I basically went through and checked everything on the car and have had to repair little on it since, other than basic maintenanceI have done little to her adding only anOEM styleK&Nfilter, aset of 8"X16" - 7 spoke Speed Racing wheels with Toyo Proxis P 235 ZR 40 16" tires and a small set of high intensity driving lights, she is still our pride and joy. After all these years we came across a matchbox die cast in mint condition which isher exact mini twin so now we have two 84s

PS We also have a 1974 440 powered Dodge 1 ton club cab dually and a rare 1981 Dodge Detamaso 2.2 hatch back coupe 1 of only 619 built

there. Looks like with these #'s we should be able to get
someone to start making some parts for these cars!Some
one get rich in a hurry if they would invest some time & $.
Gotta 90 Daytona Shelby just droped rebuilt motor in it.
2.5 turbo, 2 1/2 in catback exhaust,catback catalytic verter, K&N air filter. Front end all new, brakes, tranny,
new paint job,interior,CS wheels, red with dark black tint & gray lettering. Gonna have modifications done to motor at FWD performance over summer. Cam, new tirbo, intercooler,injectors,intake & exhaust manifolds, rods & pistons.Then let the rice burners look.

There are plenty of performance parts and places for them, but nothing as far as interior or body parts.

 

had a 88 shelbyz and a 88 N/A both t tops, city made me get rid of them. i cried, i just got a 86 laser xt that i need to talk to exline about makeing a 360 terror out of it.

 

Hi all! My name is Justin. 89 Daytona ES 2.5 Turbo Ihere(199k miles on it). My beloved car is in the front yard with the crank broke in half andchewed up mitsu. turbo. I'm in N Georgia. If any one has one of these engines with turbo PLEASE let me know if you want to sell it or trade for wrecked B350 Ram van(360ci quad-jet that runs well, good tranie, no rear axle). I miss driving my car. It sat about a year before i got the rebuilt tranie and new clutch for it. It only lasted about a month before it lost oil pressure and died again. It has sat for 2 more yrs now. Just washed it yesterday.
