Default Truck (CA) renewal cost!!

Just renewed the registration on my 2010 1500 TRX4 (have had it one year now). Cost was $620!!! Can't believe the price of living in Calif...... And with all the taxes we pay, the idiots in Sacramento still spend more than they collect. Enough of my rant. What you guys paying to renew registration in other states?

My 2010 registration fee was $72 here in New Mexico. I lived in California many moons ago and I can still remember them high rates.

It's about $100 in Illinois to get new plates - about double that for title and plates.

$240 in Washington state for '11 tags - was paying $430~ in AZ for '10.

One of the many reasons I left California. I'd be paying $1000/month between my wife and I on state income taxes alone and having nothing to show for it - on top of everything being more expensive and inconvenient in Orange County.

The Hemi.... About $50. The SRT about $100 (Customized plates). Insurance is "cheap" as well.
