Every time gas goes up people do this. Gas is on its way back down but you have to do what you feel is right for yourself. I have seen people trade for gas sippers and once fuel went down they went right back to a truck. Makes no sense to me.

Speak for yourself. Gas took another jump of .05 here today.

I think about it when I spend $100 to fuel up, but I know that if I was to get anything else at this point that it would be an R/T charger with the same motor I have now which isn't worth enough of a gain to get it done.

I dunno. I just don't know how to drive anything that doesn't have a V8 in it I guess.

Agree with you, I seen this many times before. Me, I love having big gas-guzzler and will not trade it in unless its another big truck.

I have to agree.... no gas sipper for me either... V8 or nothin at all.
Tradin down to a gas sipper would kill the deal for most of us. Most of us would end up being upside down on the loan to trade down to a sipper. Where`s the savings then...???? Big loss on the trade in will never make up the difference owning a sipper. Might as well save yourself the loss and put it in the gastank of the hemi truck. Most likely the cheaper way out.

Anyhow........
No thanks, i`d much rather stay meen than go green. For some of us, spring is just around the corner, i`ll be back out on my harley soon. I get 55+ MPG on my bike...!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy yourself a cheap bike, learn how to ride, and save alot more on gas, keep the hemi truck and pizz off a politician. Bikes will get alot more MPG`s than those liberated sippers that the EPA/GOV wants to force down your throat.

If you don't actually need a truck, then it is a good idea. Just make sure you do the math on how much money you are "saving" by switching vehicles.

go to a gas calculator, if you are getting 17 mpg in a truck and trade for a car that gets 24 mpg? You will gain 7 mpg ... if you drive 15,000 miles a year
257.00 per month , new car 182.00 you would save 75.00 per month / 18.75 per week / 2.67 per day ???
