Really disappointed in Dodge
I have a 14' Journey RT. It has 17,000 miles, It's now on it's 3rd navigation system. My wife took it in because when you turn the wipers on max, the dash and stereo screen turn off. Now that is not normal at all. The rear dvd player stopped working altogether. So when she took it in they ordered parts for it, and replaced the rear dvd system, and stereo. Also replaced the rubber side trim outside the car because around the C-piller it was bowed out bad.
Now back to the wipers, when you turn them on to max they still cut off the dash screen and stereo. The dealership told my wife just not to turn it onto max. I've been a mechanic for a long time and know this isn't right. I work out of state and haven't been home in a month to go talk to the dealership in person. What can be the cause of this issue?
This is the second problem I've had at this dealership also. First time, wife took it in because it was leaking air from one of the rear tires. She filled it up at the house and drove it to the dealership. The service kid jumped in it and took it for a test ride. All the wheel sensors worked and tire was aired up so I don't know why the hell he needed to test drive it. He never pulled it into a service bay and just came back and told my wife that it was fine. She called me and told me what happened so I called the dealership and got ahold of the asst. manager and laid into him. He has my wife come back and personally took care of the car. Sure enough there was a screw in the tire.

They need to be looking for wiring harness connectors that may not be seated all the way. Likely someone on the assembly line was high or just stupid. We run into this sort of thing on a daily basis.
You have one problem with this dealership. The tech is slacking and his manager isn't motivating him. Go somewhere else.
