Well, all I can tell you guys is that Ty has moved!! I use to have his home number but it has been changed now and he is not answering any calls at his "office", which, get this, is nothing but a cell phone. No response from any source since before Christmas. Oh well, looks like it is time to really pursue another direction with this but it could get EXPENSIVE trying to track him down.

I too lost 300.00 with this fool. I paid via paypal with my money in my paypal account. There is only a 30 day protection through paypal and of course he strung me on past the 30 day period. He even called me on Xmas eve and told me that he had it and would drive it to me over 300 plus miles so I could have it for Xmas. I told him not to drive because it doesn't make sence to drive it to me over 300 miles on a holiday. He then said he would send it right after the holiday and throw in a bunch of freebee's for the error. I ordered mine on 12/6. I received nothing until about a week or so ago I received a K&N airfilter and nothing else. I am a good person at getting info about a person in a sneaky way. I will pull out all stops and search for this guy. I have e-mailed daily for a refund and of course no responce. Please include me in any info on this guy Ty and his so called company.

Makes me wonder if maybe another past scam caught up to him - maybe in jail? maybe floating somewhere?

His website is still up...

Well it certainly appears as though this Ty person has indeed absconded with the bucks - I should have done the google search I just did BEFORE sending a check - apparently he's taken some Oldsmobile forums members as well.

I just filled out the forms here --> http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp and although I really don't expect to see money back, and getting anything from this crook appears to not be an option either, but now the Feds know that I'm not happy with this person and if that helps toss his butt in the can for a bit, then I'm happy that I did my part.

I guess I just learned a $300 lesson - beware of buying on the internet - there are crooks everywhere, and this Timon Anderson sure looks like one of them. Too bad too, cause he came across as a nice guy.

For one thing I am not Timon Anderson if you think that's who I am. I am the guy that owns the Magnum and put the initial design and field testing. I gave it to him so he could retail for me using some tube bending, silicone coupler, and such companies I don't have access to.

Ty is the guy that runs DP. He is a truck (rig) mechanic and this is his part time side gig. He does not make or own anything; he resells everything (as of now).

Yes, he has moved on short notice into a neighborhood that is under development and it took him forever just to get phone service, which by the way was mid week last week. This was planned. He sold his old home, got temporary quarters, and was waiting for his new home to be built.

He has never screwed anyone out of money that I know of. He sold out the 10 initial production units too fast. The person originally doing his tube bending was unreliable so he is looking for another bender. He is looking at the possibility of getting his own bender so he does not have to rely on other people.

If he makes good on this all of you owe him an apology.

The man has been out of contact for 2 weeks on a very legitimate issue, no phone and no cable for about 10 days. Last I knew he was still trying to sort through the hate mail you helped generate on a dial up.

I don't go on this forum much because I have also been very busy. I'm in the process of moving myself, and I have more important things to do than quell uprisings of panic buyers who can't wait for someone to get a phone. It's not my company.

The lesson to be learned here is patience is a virtue, and in sighting mobs can hurt you as much if not more than the subject under attack.

And keep the investigations to pros. If he didn't want to be found he wouldn't be.

This whole deal reminds me of a similar situation years ago when I had my 96' Chevy Impala SS, a member of the Impala Forum was making some parts for the chevy. I ordered them from him, he told me he would not cash my check until the parts were made and ready to be shipped. A month later my check was cashed and weeks went by, no parts. I was emailing him and trying to call him with no success, of course I was thinking the worst.

It was like he vanished and I was NOT happy.

Turns out he was like this poor guy here, he had a full time job working and was trying to make the parts in his spare time.

If ANYONE is in this situation, you need to let your customers know what is going on. Sure he moved, but he had to know beforehand that he was moving. Sure he was busy with other things, but he had to know he was going to be busy - TELL SOMEONE!

It is all about COMMUNICATION! or lack thereof.

I ended up getting my money back from the poor guy, but feelings were hurt on both sides.

Guys if you are doing your car business as a sideline, you need to let people know about it upfront.

NUFF' SAID

I'm sorry for the bad grammar in the last post, but I was at work and I felt like I had to post immediately (and hastily). I got a email from a member telling me that the product I designed was a scam, and I had to put this to bed fast.

Anyway, that is indeed the case here. Custom parts takes serious time. My first purchase with Ty took 6 months because they actually had to make the parts that they needed for the transmission, among issues with one of the parts makers; namely the limited slip differential.

At any rate, Bob is correct in this, and yes Ty should have been more straight forward about this. The page does state they are sold out for now, and I'm 100% he will either offer you a refund or product as you choose, maybe with a free option to make up for this unfortunate event.

I have left a message for him, I'm sure I'll be speaking with him soon. Provided you don't continue these ridiculous actions, I will help you. However, I do not have the time or patience to put up with people who won't give anyone a chance.

Everything was I suspected....

He asked that everyone that has ordered one to call him Saturday after say 10am PST to early eve to call him at 559-473-5888. If you can't you can reach him durin the eves 5pm to 7:30pm PST.

He has your kits, and if you haven't cancelled it via PayPal or whatever, call him.

Well I sure wish he'd not have vanished like that, when I order something from a company I expect to recieve a little more than I have with Ty, I'll be the first to apologize if it's warranted - he didn't do himself any favors by blinking out like that.

And he has my shipping address, why should I have to call him? He cashed my check, send me my stuff...

I chewed his *** good for a lot of reasons..... like not having paper documents when moved.

Like how he didn't tell anyone anything....

Trust me; he is aware of his mistakes now.
