So it appears that he doesn't answer the phone or return phone calls either, I left him a voicemail at the number above, it's now several days later and no answer.

What's up with that?

IF you are going to have a business, online or not, you will never succeed by showing this sort of attention to details - ok, he's got phone service back, that's nice, where's my callback? If he has phone service, then why ain't he in here telling us what's going on? Why should he need some third-party to explain what's going on?

Where's my stuff?

Yah, I know moving isn't fun - been there done that, but if the phone rang or there was voicemail, it got handled. If -I- can do it, so can he.

I'll ask him again. Are you leaving a message with how he needs to get a hold of you? Please keep in mind you have a 3 hour difference, and he doesn't like calling people late unless they specifically ask.

Anyhow, he has the intakes, assuming you didn't cancel. It's chasing him down that is the hard part.

As far as business practices go, I have to agree. However, I also grant leeway for people who are working in custom products like this one.

One problem with society today is if they don't get their cheeseburger in less than 5 minutes they expect not to have to pay for it.... I have issues with that.

At any rate, I will help you as best as I can.

Although I was lucky not to have done business with Mr. Anderson, I find it very curious that he
can communicate with select individuals, but those that appear to be "swinging in the wind", still
can not make contact.

It was appropriate enough for him to make his contacts via this forum, I would think he could at the
very least, post a message of reassurance on the same forum.

Just my two cents.

He can't get to a library to use the computer? He won't return phone calls? It sounds like this guy is stringing people along. Either mail out the product or refund checks!

I'm glad I didn't order anything from him.

Phantom 505, thanks for your help on this. I spoke with Ty on Saturday. He needed my address since he still cannot access his site for what ever reason. He shipped my kit on Monday and I received it today. I only live 150 miles from him so it was quick. I was also able to reach him by phone again today at 2:30PST with a couple questions. Yes, it has been a frusterating experiance but he seems to be working hard to straighten things out. I'm sure he will come through to the rest that ordered, and I hope very soon for you all. My only problem now is...I can't get to installing it untill thursday. I'll give some feedback when I put some miles on it.

Read through this whole thing...
looked at the "prototype" photos and the website...
Went out to the car, made a few measurments.

Humm...he is a diesel mechanic?

The nice shiney pipe sure looks a lot like the exhaust pipe on my father in laws Freightliner....
mandrel bent and all...

Even if its not the same, just about any metal tubing supplier can cut them for you...

Called Goodyear rubber supply in town, they carry just about every degree elbow in just about any size you want, a 4" black 90 degree sells for $8.99, a compound for $10.99...

lets see, 5 big hose clamps, what, $2.99 each, two rubber elbows, $22.00, and a piece of scrap pipe out of my father in laws junk pile.. bend up a few mounting brackets.....
so, how much is the K&N filter he hustles you for?

Timely service is apparently not a priority, I've now left two voicemails, the first with my phone number, the second with phone number and address, both with requests for him to call me and I haven't heard the phone ring (for me) yet...

There is ALWAYS someone here, and even if there wasn't, I'd know if we did get a call that wasn't answered.

I was quite hopeful that he'd come through and deliver what I've already paid for, so far it's not looking that way - I'm thinking that he's pulling phantom505's leg as well as the rest of us.

Color me not impressed in any way shape or form. I want my stuff, or a check in the mail...

That shows you what you know.

I have spend THOUSANDS of dollars with this guy in custom parts. Namely a transmission for a Grand AM with more custom rigging than you can imagine. Computers, turbos, heads, custom billet throttle bodies, and other things to boot. He's simply having a rough time with these 2 moves being so close together.

But anway, despite the fact I really don't want to help you anymore, I will.

That message you get on his phone is not for Voicemail of any kind, so it doesn't record. That's not obvious, but that's the case. People where filling the voicemail box with requests for handouts and give me's so he got rid of it.

Anyhow, send him a BRIEF email to 5594735888@tmomail.net (he's using his cell phone for the moment) or fax it to 559-325-2721. BTW, you are like the only person that hasn't got hold of him. As far as I know, the other 3 people he have already, including the one guy in California got the rest of the kit as I understand it.

So far, the only way I can equate this to a "5-minute" cheeseburger.....
the steer is still grazing out back.

Also, I fault the phone company, they must not have told Mr. Anderson
a referral was available to him, when he disconnected his service, at little
to no fee.

So, yes phantom....you are right....we are all wrong here.....there should
be no blame placed on Mr. Anderson.

He was too eager to knock down the K&N kit with
no hard data to provide regarding his "phantom" kit.

Ok, done..

Interesting that his recording doesn't actually do voicemail, it says to leave a message after the tone, and as one who spends 12 hours a day fixing stuff over the phone, one tends to assume that when the message says that, that there will indeed be voicemail.

One problem with society today is if they don't get their cheeseburger in less than 5 minutes they expect not to have to pay for it.... I have issues with that.
I do too - I don't expect something for nothing, but I do expect that when my check gets cashed, that I get what I paid for.

I'll ask him again. Are you leaving a message with how he needs to get a hold of you? Please keep in mind you have a 3 hour difference, and he doesn't like calling people late unless they specifically ask.
That pretty much implies that he has voicemail - or at least you thought he did, no? And I'm acutely aware of the time-zones, I work down systems all over North America (top-to-bottom, left-to-right), Hawaii and further out, as well as the occaisional European call.

But anway, despite the fact I really don't want to help you anymore, I will.
Actually you are helping Mr.Anderson more than anyone else.

Mike
