Default Finally Got My Magnum RT

Ordered my Magnum RT July 12, finally received it the Monday after Thanksgiving. I ordered everything but the nav system and AWD. Inferno red looks better than I thought after the paint scheme change. So far...LOVE this car, but only have been able to put 300 miles on it far. Time will tell...the only flaw I have noticed is the windshield is mounted about 1/4 inch crooked to one side...don't know if it is worth messing with...[&:]

Congratulations [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Somebody should start a thread for people who have ordered a Magnum R/T.

Name how long it took and where are they from.
I’m just curious if indeed the coasts are getting them faster.
People could also post how long they are still waiting and where there from.

Congratulations!

Have you planned any upgrades or customizations? I hear a lot of people like to upgrade the performance of the car right away.

Also, what reactions have you seen to your car? Today my coworkers made a photoshop poster of me and my car done up to look like a scene from Magnum PI.

What other vehicles did you consider when you were thinking of buying the Magnum. I was looking at a Mazada 6 Wagon, Saab 9-3, or Volvo V50.

And what is your "real world" gas mileage so far?

My $.02 is we will need to check in to this forum once in a while to check on other peoples experiences and get the straight facts on the servicing of this new vehicle. There are lots of very knowledgeable and helpful people here to help us out.

And many thanks for your suggested name for my new Silver RT. "Cleo" has me thinking of other possible mythology names. My motive for the naming remains the near continual interference from the friendly computer to keep me out of the ditch. Its like trying to fly a stealth fighter -- it can't be done without computer assistance. The weather here in Ontario is snow covered ice and freezing rain, which is why the computer is working so hard.

Best of luck with your new "ride".

Dig it all the way! I have 7K now, and it only gets better! Funny, ordered in late June, delivered Aug 30!
Kinda makes going to work every day a little easier, just laugh at the ricers and 'stang GT's that want to race, don't waste your gas, the only faster production vehicles I know of is the WRX (off the line only) and the Cobra, Vet probably yes, Nissan, no, infinity, no.
Have fun!!

Brightsilver,
Sorry for the delay....here in sunny Arizona, for the most part the AWD is not needed, or necessary. For the rare occasions we head to the snow country (yes, we have them in Arizona) the traction control should be enough. Should I be wary enough to tackle the real snow I have a "72 Blazer that goes through it like...well something through a goose... Anyway, I have no mods planned....yet...still enjoying having a more modern ride than the 72...and the satellite radio is enough to get me started. PS so far my real world mileage is about 14 mpg...I'm sure it will get better if I learn to keep my foot out of it.

If my experience is any indicator...it was definitely worth the wait!
